GP FOR HOME The Court made the following: ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India with the following prayer for: 2 “.... a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents herein in calling the petitioner to the 3rd and 5th respondent Police Station repeatedly and harassing the petitioners by making the petitioner sit in the Police Station from morning to evening under the guise of counselling as illegal, arbitrary and opposed to the established principles of law and further in violation of fundamental rights of the petitioners guaranteed under article 21 of the constitution of India and consequently direct the respondents herein not to harass the petitioners.” 2. Sri V.Farooq, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home would submit that based on the complaint lodged by the wife of Petitioner No.1 herein, the Petitioners were called to the Police Station for enquiry, but no crime has been registered against them. 3. Ms.K.Pallavi, learned counsel for the Petitioners would submit that, recording the same, the petition may be disposed of. 4. Considering the submissions made, the Writ Petition is disposed of directing the Police not to call the Petitioners to the Police Station, in the absence of any crime registered against them. There shall be no order as to costs.
