This writ petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, claiming the following relief: “To issue Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal No.BCW-2 No.303/2018 filed by the petitioner herein feeling aggrieved by the orders of the 3rd respondent bearing D.Dis.(E4)/8312/2015 dated 18.11.2017 in respect of land of a extent of Ac.3-96 cents in Sy.no.177/4 of Bheemaganipalle Village, Punganur Mandal, Chittoor District.” 2. The case of the petitioner in nutshell is that, the petitioner preferred appeal before the 2nd respondent – Chief Commissioner of Land Administration. Despite repeated requests of the petitioner, the 2nd respondent failed to dispose of the appeal4 filed in the year 2018. Therefore, the petitioner, aggrieved by the inaction of 2nd respondent, to consider and dispose of the appeal, filed this writ petition. 3. During hearing, learned counsel for the petitioner reiterated the contentions and requested this Court to issue a direction as claimed in the Writ Petition. 4. On the other hand, learned Government Pleader for Revenue placed on record the Notice dated 25.06.2025 and submits that the appeal is under 4 NV,J W.P.No.15805 of 2025 consideration by the 2nd respondent and appropriate orders would be passed by the 2nd respondent. 5. The delay in not disposing of the appeal for the last seven years is violative of Articles 21 & 300-A of Constitution of India. Therefore, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the 2nd respondent to dispose of the appeal viz., BCW-2 No.303 of 2018, if any pending before the 2nd respondent within a period of two (02) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after providing opportunity of hearing to the parties concerned. 6. With the above direction, Writ Petition is disposed of, at the stage of admission with the consent of both the counsel. No costs. 7.
