It is submitted that the petitioner filed a petition before the learned Senior Civil Judge seeking permission for renewal of his passport. The f learned Magistrate has allowed the petition, granting permission for renewal of the passport for a period of nine months, and further the ! I petitioner was directed to furnish a personal bond of Rs.10,00,000/- with surety in the event the petitioner intends to travel outside the India. Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that, in the event the petitioner intends to travel abroad, he would have to seek renewal of passport soon after the end of three months, and the petitioner would not be permitted to travel out of India within six months from the date of expiry of the passport. 2. Considering the submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the record, the order passed in Crl.M.P.No.10 of 2025 in S.C.No.138 of 2024 on the file of Senior 4 Civil Judge, Proddatur, is hereby set aside. Further, the petitioner shall submit a fresh petition seeking renewal of the passport and the learned Magistrate shall pass appropriate orders granting permission for renewal of the passport for a period of ten years. It is left open to the learned Magistrate to impose conditions on any travel abroad undertaken by the petitioner. 3. With the above direction, the Criminal Petition is disposed of.
