14.01.2026 Heard Mr. Samuel Vanlalhriata Chhangte, learned counsel for the applicant who has filed this application under Order 1 Rule 10 (2) of the Code of Civil Procedure for striking out the applicant who have been arrayed as respondent No. 7 in the connected Contempt Case No. 12/2024, by submitting that the applicant has already paid the total amount awarded by the CALA in compliance with the Judgment and Order passed in WP(C) No. 1 of 2024 and therefore, they are not required to be made a party in the Contempt Case No. 12/2024. Ms. Valentina Laldinpuii, learned counsel for the petitioner in Contempt Case No. 12/2024 and opposite party in the instant I.A is present and submits that she has no objection to the striking out of the name of the applicant who was arrayed as respondent No. 7 in the connected Contempt Case No. 12/2024. In view of the above submissions, this Court finds it appropriate to allow the instant application and accordingly, striking out the names of
Page No.# 4/4 respondent No. 7 (V. Umashankar, Secretary to MoRTH) and he is discharged of his liability in the connected Contempt Case No. 12/2024. Accordingly, the said I.A(C) No. 232/2025 stands allowed and
disposed of.
