Heard Ms. T. Rajkhowa, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mr. D. Das, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State of Assam.
2. This is an application under Section 483 of the BNSS, 2023, whereby the petitioner, who is facing trial in Sessions Case No. 148/2024 has prayed for grant of regular bail.

3. Charges are already framed against the petitioner by the learned trial court. The name of 23 witnesses are shown in the charge-sheet.
4. This is a case of rape and murder. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner is not found to be satisfactory. After examination of10 prosecution witnesses, the petitioner shall have the liberty to approach this Court seeking regular bail.
