2. Mr.A.Kannan, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of the 1st respondent and Mr.S.Deenadhayalan, learned Standing Counsel takes notice on behalf of the respondents 2 to 4. 3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 4. The contention in the writ petition is that the respondent Electricity Board had installed an electric pole at a distance of about 15 feet. Recently, the officials of the respondent Electricity Board without prior notice or consent to the petitioner installed new high-voltage poles and power lines very close to the northern and eastern boundaries of the land. 5. It is the case of the petitioner that already an electric line for domestic purpose is running through his house and therefore, the petitioner and his sisters had submitted a representation to the authorities concern on 27.11.2024, 02.12.2024, 05.12.2024 and 03.07.2025 3/8 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
W.P.(MD)No.33282 of 2025 requesting them not to install the high-voltage line close to our property. However, the 4th respondent ignored the petitions and proceeded with the installations. 6. On 09.07.2025, he had received a notice from the 4th respondent directing him to submit land documents in order to verify his ownership and informing the petitioner that the pole will be shifted if the land in question was his patta land. Despite the complaints and the above notice no action has been taken. The petitioner has also sent a representation on 03.11.2025 which has not been considered and therefore, the petitioner is before this Court. 7.
Heard the learned counsel on either side. 8. The documents show that the electric line had been shifted at the request of the petitioner by a distance of 47 meters. The sketch showing the realignment has been produced. That apart, a letter dated 08.10.2024 from the petitioner has also been produced. The same is reproduced below:- 4/8 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

9. The electric pole has also been shifted at the cost of the petitioner's neighbour for whom the line has been drawn. During the relocation the petitioner has also submitted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) which reads as follows:-
“ ma;ah. tzf;fk; ehd; nkw;fz;l Kfthpay; trpj;J tUfpnwd;/ vdJ tPl;od; mUfpy; cs;s jpU/bgh/K:f;fd; mth;fs; jdJ tPl;od; Kd;dhy; cs;s kpd; ghijia khw;wp mikf;Fk; bghGJ khw;wk; tUk; kpd; ghij vdJ ,lj;jpd; Xuj;jpy; tUfpwJ/ ,jdhy; vdf;F ve;jtpj Ml;rgida[k; ,y;iy vd;W bjwptpj;Jf; bfhs;fpnwd;/ ”
10. Therefore, in the light of the above, it does not lie in the mouth of the petitioner to now allege that the respondents have not acted upon his request. 11. That apart, after giving No Objection Certificate (NOC) and acknowledging the shifting of the line, the petitioner has proceeded to send a representation only a few days ago and has immediately rushed to the Court. 6/8 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

12. Therefore, I see no reason to issue a mandamus to the respondents. Accordingly, the writ petition stands dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. 20.11.2025 NCC :yes/No Index :yes/No Internet:yes/No rgm To
