The petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the petition and the grounds filed in support thereof and upon hearing the arguments of Sri K K KOMALAN, Advocate for the Petitioner and of PUBLIC PROSECUTOR for the Respondent and the Court made the following; 2 THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE K SREENIVASA REDDY . ,*- / •at-I, ORDER: CRIMINAL PETITION NO: 6192 OF 2025 This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petition;r/A1, seeking bail, in crime No.3O/2024 of Gudemkothaveedi (G.K.Veedhi) Police Station, AIIuri Sitharama Raju District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences under sections 111(2)(b) of B.N,S and Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution is that on 18.9.2024 at about 2.15pm, on receipt of credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the s.I of police, Gudemko{haveedi (G.K.Veedhi) Police Station, along with staff reached patha veedhi and found Al to A3 in suspicious circumstances. on seeing police, Al escaped and on enquiry, A2 and A3 revealed their identity particulars and police seized 22.690kgs of ganja from their possession. police seized the contraband, arrested A2 and A3 and got remanded to judicial custody. Police arrested the petitioner/AI on 18.3.2025 and sin'ce then he is in judicial remand. 4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. Perused the record. 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major part of the investigation is completed except filing of charge sheet. •t- 3 6. A perusal of the material available on record goes to show that the petitioner was arrested and remanded to J'udiCial Custody On 18.3.2025. Police on credible information seized 22.69O kgs of ganja from A2 and A3. Pursuant to the confessional statement of co-accused, nothing has been seized from the possession of the petitioner {o connect the petitioner with the crime. Basing on the confessional statement of co-accused, the petitioner has been arrested and remanded {o judicial custody. 7. ln view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner/Al herein, on the following conditions. (i) The petitioner/Al herein shall be released on his executing a personal bond for Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate, Chintapalli; (ii) On release, the petitioner shall appear before the Station House Officer concerned once in a week i.e. on every Sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m., till filing of charge sheet. 8.
