This petition under Section 528 of the BNSS has been filed for extension of time to deposit the fine amount of Rs. 5000/- as per order dated 24/09/2024 passed by this Court in CRR No. 681/2014. 2. This Court, vide order dated 24/09/2024, while partly allowing the GOURI MUDALIAR Digitally signed by GOURI MUDALIAR Date: 2025.06.11 17:24:08 +0530 2 revision petition and sentencing the petitioner to the period already undergone, had enhanced the fine amount of Rs. 500/- to Rs. 5000 and had granted one month’s time from the date of passing of the order for depositing the enhanced fine amount. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is a rustic villager and having no knowledge of the Court's order dated 24.9.2024. He lost the contact from his counsel. On 15.4.2025 he came to know about the order of Court through police who came to his dwelling house. Thereafter, he inquired and rushed to his counsel for taking necessary steps. Hence he prays that the time period for depositing the fine amount may be extended. 4. Learned counsel for the other side has no objection. 5. The prayer made by the petitioner appears to be reasonable. Hence, the petitioner is granted further two weeks and no more time from today to deposit the enhanced fine amount as was ordered by this Court on 24/09/2024 in CRR No. 681/2014. 6. Accordingly, this Cr.M.P. stands disposed of. 7. Registry is directed to send a certified copy of this order to the trial Court concerned for necessary information and compliance.
