Petitioners are working as Multi Purpose Health Supervisors (MPHS) (male). For the purpose of effecting promotions to the post of Multi Purpose Health Extension Officer, the respondents have prepared provisional seniority list of MPHS(male) in zone-ll as on 01.03.2025. Petitioners submitted objections to the said provisional seniority list, inter alia, stating that the seniority has to be reckoned based on merit and not on the date of joining into service as MPHS(male). However, final seniority list came to be published by rejecting petitioners’ objections. Petitioners immediately preferred 3 HCGR.J W.P.No.15189 0)2025 appeal before the 2""^ respondent on 09.05.2025, which is stated to be pending. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that as the appeal is not disposed of, and that the respondents at any moment are likely to take up further steps to effect promotions based on final seniority list, would urge to direct the 2"'^ respondent for expeditious disposal of the appeal. 5. Learned Assistant Government Pleader appearing for respondents would submit that appeal filed by petitioners would be considered and disposed in accordance with law. 6. In view of aforesaid submissions, with the consent of both the learned counsel, the Writ Petition is disposed of at the admission stage, directing the 2'’'^ respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 09.05.2025, filed by the petitioners, and pass appropriate speaking orders, strictly in accordance with law, within a period of four (04) weeks from today.
