Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Standing Counsel for the respondents. 2. The petitioner by means of the present writ petition has prayed for the following relief: "i. to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of certiorari quashing the impugned order dated 04.02.2025 passed by the Commissioner, Varanasi Region, Varanasi. ii. to issue a writ, order or direction in the nature of mandamus commanding the respondent no.4 that being the Election Officer to forthwith conduct the election of the Society in terms of the orders dated 31.8.2024 and 24.11.2024 passed by the Assistant Registrar, Firms, Societies and Chits, Varanasi. iii. to issue any other writ, order or direction as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and proper in the facts and circumstances of the case. iv. to award cost of the writ petition to the petitioner." 3. Sri Sankalp Narain, learned counsel for the petitioner has has confined his prayer only to the extent that the Appeal No.2598 of 2024 (Computerized Case No.C202414000002598) pending before the Commissioner, Varanasi Region, Varanasi, respondent no.2, may be directed to be decided within a time bound period. 4. Learned Standing Counsel submits that no useful would be served in keeping the writ petition pending and appropriate direction may be issued to the respondent no.2 to consider the grievance of the petitioner. 5. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed off directing the respondent no.2-Commissioner, Varanasi Region, Varanasi to decide the Appeal No.2598 of 2024 (Computerized Case No.C202414000002598) expeditiously preferably within a period of three months from the date of production of a certified copy of this order without granting any unnecessary adjournments to either of the parties.
