SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.6156 of 2025 ORDER:- This Criminal Petition, under.Sections 480 and 483 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023,.has been filed by the petitioner/A3, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.84 of 2025 of ll Town Police Station, Visakhapatnam Commissionerate. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(B) read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985_ 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 17.04.2025, at about 21.00 hours, on credible information, the sub-Inspector of Police, along with his staff and mediators, rushed to opp. to LIC building, beside central park, parking area, visakhapatnam ci`ty and caught the accused in possession of 1.615 KGs of Ganja. The contraband, along with other material, was seized under cover of a mediators report. The accused were arrested and got remanded to judicial custody. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. The petitioner has been in judicial custody since o9.06.2025. The quantity of Ganja allegedly seized from the possession of the r-GZgiv^ -.-- t~ accused is 1.615Kgs, which is not a commercial quantity. ln view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is inclined to grant bail to the petitioner/A3 on the following conditions. i) The petitioner/A3 shall be released on bail on his executing personal bond for Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties of the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned I Additional District & Sessions Judge-Special Judge for Trial of Offences under NDPS Act, Visakhapatnam. ii) On release, the petitioner shall appear before the Station House Officer concerned, once in a week i.e. on every Sunday, between 10.00 am and 01.00 pm, till filing of the charge sheet. 6.
