Heard the parties.
The petitioner has been made accused in connection with Godda (M) P.S. Case No. 75 of 2024, corresponding to G.R. Case No.10 of 2025, for the offence registered under Sections 385, 386, 427 & 435/34 of the Indian Penal Code, pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Godda.
On 07.05.2024 at about 5:00 p.m., petitioner and co-accused had hired the trailer of the informant. The informant started demanding his fare. Petitioner assaulted him and set ablaze his motorcycle. It was submitted that co-accused Sudarshan Mandal had faced separate trial and he has been acquitted in this case on the basis of compromise.
Learned A.P.P on behalf of the State submitted that as far as petitioner is concerned, there is specific allegation that he had set ablaze the motorcycle of the informant and petitioner is an accused in as many as seven cases.
Considering the nature of allegation, I am not inclined to release the petitioner, on bail. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
