A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences under+Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 read wI'th 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 17.02.2025 at about 2.30pm, on receipt of credl-ble information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the S.I of PQIice, along with staff and mediators rushed to NTR Statue, Araku valley and started conducting vehicle checking. At that time, they found two persons in suspicious circumstances. On seeing police, said persons tried to escape. Then police apprehended them, On interrogation, they disclosed their I-dentity Particulars aS that Of A3 and A4 and police found 225 kgs of ganja in their possession. police seized the contraband, arrested the accused and got them remanded to judicial custody on 17.02.2025. 4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor representing respondent-state. perused the record. 5, Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major part of investigation is completed except filing of charge sheet and prays to dismiss the criminal petition. 6. A perusal of the material available on record goes to show that the accusation is that the accused was the owner and driver of the vehicle, whereas Al to A3 were transporting ganja in an extent of 220 kgs. On information, police arrested the petitioner and seized the contraband. The petitioner was arrested on 17.02.2025 and sirnce then he is in judicial # -- ---ii-.`L. -I dJ 3 remand. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submI'tted that major portion of investigation has been completed and only formal charge sheet has {o be filed and the same could not be fI-led for not apprehendl'ng the other accused. Merely because, the other accused have not been arrested, the Petitioner COuld not be detained for ever. 7. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to grant baI-I to the petI'tiOner/A4 herel'n, on the following conditions. (l|) The petitioner/A4 hereI-n Shall be released on his executing a personal bond for Rs.10,000/-(Rupees ten thousand only) wl'th two sureties for a like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial First class Magistrate at paderu; (ii) on release, the petitl'oner shall appear before the stall-On House officer concerned once in a week i.e. on every sunday between 10.00 a.m. and 05.00 p.m., till filing of charge sheet. 8.
