Ajay Mohan Goel, Judge (Oral) This contempt petition has been filed, praying for action against the respondents for willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court, dated 26.05.2025, relevant portion thereof reads as under:- “6. Consequently, in view of the above, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents/competent authority to pay due and admissible dearness relief to the petitioners in terms of above office memorandums within a period of six weeks from today It is, however, made clear that in case due and admissible dearness relief is not paid by the respondents to the petitioner within the aforesaid period, then the same shall carry interest @ 5% per annum from 1 Whether reporters of the local papers may be allowed to see the judgment? 2 2025:HHC:31168 the due date till its realization.” 2. Learned Counsel for the respondents informed the Court that the amount as was payable to the petitioners in light of the order has been paid. Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the same has not been paid within the period granted by the Court and now the interest has to be paid. 3. These contempt proceedings, as prayed for, are ordered to be closed with the direction that let interest of the delayed amount be definitely paid within a period of four weeks from today, failing which the petitioners shall be entitled to file an application for revival of the same.
