GP FOR FINANCE PLANNING 3 The Court made the following order: The grievance of the petitioner is that even after finalization of the bills payable to the petitioner in relation to the works i.e., ‘Renovation of Existing Inspection Bungalow at Kandukur (New) in SPSR Nellore district vide Agreement No.81/2023-24, dated 29.02.2024, the respondent authorities are withholding the payments of pending amount of Rs.26,44,072/- 2. Heard Sri Devasri Roshan Kancharla, learned counsel for the petitioner, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Roads and Buildings Department and learned Assistant Government Pleader for Finance Department. 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner, in elaboration to what has been stated in the affidavit, contended that despite the completion of the contractual work and the finalization of the bills payable to the petitioner, the respondent authorities have failed to release the amounts. Hence, prayed to pass appropriate orders protecting the interest of the petitioner. 4. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Roads and Buildings Department, while reiterating the contents of the counter affidavit of respondent No.3, contended that the authorities have admitted the bills of the petitioner and that the bill has been uploaded in NIDHI portal vide CFMS Bill No.2025-2282836 and the status of the bill was shown as ‘Waiting for fund clearance’, however sought three months’ time for release of the admitted amount payable to the petitioner. 4 5. To the said submission, learned counsel for the petitioner reported no objection and prayed to pass appropriate orders in that regard. 6. In view of the facts and circumstances of the case and taking the submissions of learned counsel for the parties into consideration, as the authorities have expressed their intention to pay the entitled amount to the petitioner, there is no purpose in keeping this Writ Petition pending. As such, this Court is inclined to dispose of the same, with the consent of both the parties, at the admission stage itself, by passing the following order: “The respondent authorities are directed to pay an amount of Rs.26,44,072/- (Rupees Twenty Six Lakhs Forty Four Thousand, Seventy Two only) to the petitioner within a period of three (3) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.” 7. Accordingly, the Writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
