SREENIVASA REDDY CRIMINAL PETITION NO.6120 OF 2025 ORDER:- The Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 & 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, is filed on behalf of the petitioner/Accused No.1 to grant bail in connection with crime No.165 of 2025 of Rajahmundry Ill Town Police Station, East Godavari District. 2) A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences punishable under Sections 64(2)(m),115(2), 351(2), 79 r/w 3(5) of BNS. 3) Brief facts of the case are that, on 10.04.2025 at 20.3O hours, the informant Peddireddy Jyothi, D/o Nani, R/o Jampeta, Rajamahendravaram, reported that 10 years back her marriage was performed with one Rajasekhar of Thadithota and they begot two daughters and one son. About 3 years back, due to some disputes, she got separated from her husband. Subsequently, she got acquaintance with Accused` No.1 through Instagram and two years back he made her believe to marry and kept her in pent house at Jampeta Area and had sexual intercourse. Later, when she demanded about marriage, he refused to marry as he is not I '* Ei interested. On 07.03.2025, when the complainant went to the house of Accused No.i and asked about marriage, Accused Nos.1 and 2 I beat her with hands and Accused Nos.3 and 4 abused her and threatened her with dire consequences. I 4) Heard. Perused the record. 5) A perusal of material on r6cord goesto showthatthe de facto complainant and the petitioner herein got acquaintance each other through lnstagram and fell in love and that the petitioner herein expressed that he intended to marry her. On that i both the petitioner herein and de factol complainant lived together i for a period of two years. Thereafter, when the de facto co.mplainant demanded for marriage, the petitioner herein expressed his inability in marrying her. The petitioner `herein was I arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 12.04.2025 and since then he is languishing in jail.
