This criminal appeal filed by the appellant-accused under Section 374(2) of Cr.P.C. is directed against the impugned judgment of conviction and order of sentence dated 12.12.2007, passed by the learned Special Judge (NDPS Act), Janjgir (C.G.) in Special Case No. 6/2006, whereby the appellant-accused has been convicted for offence under Section 20(b)(i)(ii)(B) of NDPS Act and sentenced to undergo Digitally signed by HEERA LAL SAHU Date: 2025.03.21 10:24:21 +0530 2 rigorous imprisonment for 2 years and fine of Rs. 10,000/- with default stipulation. 2. In this case, vide order of this Court dated 18.02.2025 bailable warrant was issued against the appellant returned with a report of Office of Station In-charge, Police Station- Champa, District-Janjgir-Champa (C.G.) dated 19.03.2025 along with death certificate that the sole appellant Manoj Kumar Vishvakarma died on 04.01.2021. 3. Learned State counsel agreed with the report. 4. In view of the matter, this Criminal Appeal stands disposed of as the legal representative of the appellant has not approached to contest the appeal.
