The present writ petition has been filed for the following relief:- “For direction upon the concerned respondents to make necessary correction in the online entry and restore the name of petitioner in revenue records including Register- II pertaining to land of Khata No. 254, Plot No. 21, Mouza-Balasi, Namkum as the Circle Officer without considering the facts and circumstances of the case illegally remove the name of Shekh Ajmat Ali who is grandfather of petitioner, from the revenue records.” 2. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the online entry is not correct reflection of the official record. Although the online entry has no legal basis, still it has great impact in practical life and further it is a government record. 3. It is not in dispute that online entry should be correct and true reflection of the official record. 4. In view of the above discussion, the present writ petition is, hereby, disposed of directing the respondents to correct the online entry, as per the official record, within four weeks from the date of receipt/ production of copy of this order. 5. It is made clear that if the correction is not made within four weeks, the petitioner is entitled for Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) as litigation cost, to be paid by the Deputy Commissioner, Ranchi, who will recover the said amount from the erring officials. 2025:JHHC:24451 2 W.P.(C) No.4449 of 2025 6. The respondent No.2 i.e. The Secretary, Department of Registration, Revenue and Land Reforms, Government of Jharkhand, Ranchi, is held responsible for compliance of the aforesaid order. 7. With above observation and direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of. 8.
