Applicant has filed this bail application under Section 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short “BNSS”) for grant of regular bail as he was arrested in connection with Crime No.21 of 2023 registered at Police Station –Samaripath, District- Balrampur, Ramanujganj (CG) for offence punishable under Sections 376, 506 of IPC and Sections 4, 6 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012. 2. After arguing for some time, learned counsel for the applicant submits that out of total 15 enlisted witnesses, 12 have already Digitally signed by PRAVEEN KUMAR SINHA Date: 2025.06.13 17:20:10 +0530 -2- been examined before the trial Court and, therefore, at this stage, applicant may be permitted to withdraw this bail application. He, however, submits that a direction may be issued to learned trial Court to expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest. 3. Considering the submission of learned counsel for the applicant, this bail application is dismissed as withdrawn. However, taking note of the date of detention of applicant since 18.05.2023 and stage of trial in which out of 15 enlisted witnesses, 12 have already been examined, learned trial Court is directed to expedite the trial and conclude the same at the earliest.
