The petitioner has preferred the present petition with the following prayer:- (i) Issue an order or direction in the nature of mandamus to direct respondent no.2 to obtain no objection certificate from District Ramban (J&K) to transfer of Armed License no.711/DMR/AL/12/C District Ramban (J&K) to District Shamli in pursuance of letter dated 18.05.2024. 2. Pursuant to the order passed by this Court dated 28.03.2025, Instructions dated 16.04.2025 received under the signatures of District Magistrate, Shamli placed before the Court, the same is taken on record. 3. It is stated in the aforesaid Instructions that various letters have already been written by the Office of District Magistrate, Shamli to the District Magistrate, Ramban (Jammu & Kashmir) in this regard but till date no report has been submitted by him. 4. It is argued by learned Standing Counsel that as soon as the report will be received from the District Magistrate, Ramban (Jammu & Kashmir), the District Magistrate, Shamli/respondent No.2 will do the needful in the matter . 5. Heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the record. 6. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present petition is disposed of directing the respondent No.2/District Magistrate to take a decision in the matter expeditiously after receiving the report from the District Magistrate, Ramban (Jammu & Kashmir).
