NIL DATED 05/03/2025 (VIDE ANNEXURE-E) FOR PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF DEROGATORY/ DEFAMATORY ARTICLE TAKING THE NAME OF THE PETITIONER IN HIS KANNADA FORTNIGHTLY NEWSPAPER BY THE NAME MASTER PRINT AND ETC., THIS PETITION, COMING ON FOR PRELIMINARY HEARING, THIS DAY, ORDER WAS MADE THEREIN AS UNDER: - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:14103 WP No. 9117 of 2025 CORAM: HON'BLE MR JUSTICE M.NAGAPRASANNA ORAL ORDER The petitioner is before this Court seeking the following prayer: “(i) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction; directing the 2nd respondent to take appropriate action against the 4th respondent on the complaint of the petitioner bearing No. Nil dated 05/03/2025 (vide Annexure-E) for publication and distribution of derogatory/defamatory article taking the name of the petitioner in his kannada fortnightly newspaper by the name "Master Print"; (ii) Issue a writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order or direction; directing the 3rd respondent to take appropriate action against the 4th and 5th respondents for causing embarrassment to the women employees of the Petitioner Union by publication of derogatory/defamatory article in their kannada fortnightly newspapers by the name "Master Print" and "Crime News" (vide Annexure-C & A respectively); as sought for by the Internal Complaints Committee of the petitioner Union, vide letter No.Nil dated 12/13-03-2025, vide Annexure- J; (iii) to grant such other relief/s that this Hon'ble Court deem fit and expedient in the facts and circumstances of the case, in the interest of justice and equity.” 2. Heard Sri B.L.Sanjeev, learned counsel for petitioner and Sri Rahul Cariyappa, learned Additional Government Advocate for respondent Nos.1 to 3. - 4 - NC: 2025:KHC:14103 WP No. 9117 of 2025 3. This Court on 27.03.2025, had passed the following order: “Learned Additional Government Advocate is directed to accept notice for respondents 1 to 3. Learned counsel for the petitioner to serve a copy of the petition papers upon the learned Additional Government Advocate, forthwith. Learned Additional Government Advocate to secure instructions as to what has become of the complaint dated 05.03.2025 registered by the petitioner and report to the Court on the next date. List the matter on 01.04.2025 in the fresh matters list.” In the light of the compliance of the afore-quoted order, learned Additional Government Advocate on instructions would submit that the grievance of the petitioner has been redressed and a crime is registered by the jurisdictional police. 4.
