By the present writ petition, the petitioner, who is son of Late Baldau Verma, who was working in the post of Shiksha Karmi Grade-III, who died in harness on 22.10.2010, has applied for appointment on compassionate ground, as the petitioner is having requisite qualification for appointment in the post of Shiksha Karmi Grade-III. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that CEO, Zila Panchayat in pursuance to the application made by the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground has directed to CEO, Janpad Panchayat (respondent No. 6) vide its communication dated 05.12.2024 to consider the case of the petitioner, as per the policy, but till date the respondent No. 6 has not taken any decision on the application and the same is still pending. 3. Learned State counsel submits that steps have been taken to consider the claim of the petitioner and the same will be decided within stipulated period. 4. I have heard learned counsel for the parties and perused the documents. 3 5. Perusal of the documents shows, that the respondent No. 5 vide its communication dated 05.12.2024 has directed respondent No. 6 to consider the claim of the petitioner for compassionate appointment, in accordance with the policy. 6. Considering the same, respondent No. 6 is directed to decide the application of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground within a period of 60 days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, in accordance with the policy. 7. With the aforesaid observation, the writ petition is disposed off. 8. The petitioner is at liberty to apprise the CEO, Janpad Panchayat about the order of this court.
