The present petition has been filed by the Petitioner under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, inter alia, seeking issuance of an appropriate writ directing the Respondents to include the Petitioner in the survey process conducted under the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014 and the Delhi Street Vendors Scheme, 2019. 3. The Petitioner claims to be a street vendor in the Sarojini Nagar Market, New Delhi. According to the Petitioner, he has been carrying out vending activities since the year 2009. 4. The survey in the Sarojini Nagar Market area has already taken place in the months of June-July of 2025 and the last date for filing the representation for the same was 31st July, 2025. The review period for the said survey was in August-September, 2025. However, the said period is also over now. 5. The prayer in this petition is that the Petitioner had participated in the said survey and had also made a representation on 18th July, 2025. The case of the Petitioner is that after documents have been submitted, the digital survey has not yet taken place and the Petitioner is not sure if the Petitioner’s name is being included in the survey or not. 6. The representation which had been filed is dated 18th July, 2025 and the original has been shown to the Court. Considering that the Petitioner’s case is that he had participated in the survey and he has submitted the documents and his representation which dated 18th July, 2025, the Court is inclined to permit the Petitioner’s case to be considered by the Respondent in accordance with law. 7. If any digital verification is to be done, let the same be done and a decision shall be taken in respect of the Petitioner by the Town Vending Committee in accordance with law. 8.
