The present writ petition has been filed for the following reliefs:- (a) for issuance of a direction upon the Respondent Concerned to update/upload the land records of the petitioner on the concerned govt. website and issue rent receipts in her favour after receiving rent for her land vide Khata no.84, Mauza Nawdiha (Thana no.576), Plot no. 186, 187, 636, 639, 640 & 641, Measuring 2 Acre & 66 Decimals. (b) Further a direction may kindly be passed to - 1 - W.P.C No.103 of 2026 2025:JHHC:2058 pay suitable litigation cost to the petitioner. (c) for direction upon the Respondent No. 3,4,5 & 6 to enter the names of Petitioner in Online Register-II/Revenue records/land receipt and update the details of their land online. (d) for an order restraining the respondents from interfering with the petitioners' peaceful possession of the said land during the pendency of this writ petition.” 2. The description of land of the petitioner is as follows : “Khata no.84, Mauza Nawdiha (Thana no.576), Plot no. 186, 187, 636, 639, 640 & 641, Measuring 2 Acre & 66 Decimals.” 3. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the rent receipt has been issued by the respondent till 2014-15, but thereafter without any reasonable cause it arbitrarily stopped issuing rent receipt. 4. It has been submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the online entry is not the correct reflection of the official record. Although the online entry has no legal basis, still it has great impact in practical life and further it is a government record. 5. It is not in dispute that online entry should be correct and true reflection of the official record. 6. In view of the above discussion, the present writ petition is, hereby, disposed of directing the respondents to make online entry of the land in question on the official website of Jharkhand State maintained for the records of land and issue rent receipt in the name of petitioner, within six weeks from the date of receipt/ production of copy of this order . 7. It is made clear that if the aforesaid exercise is not completed within six weeks, the petitioner is entitled for Rs.10,000/- (Ten thousand) as a litigation cost, to be paid by the Deputy Commissioner, Hazaribag, who will recover the said amount from the erring officials. 8. The respondent No.2 i.e. the Secretary, Department of - 2 - W.P.C No.103 of 2026 2025:JHHC:2058 Revenue, Registration and Land Reforms, Government of Jharkhand , Ranchi, is held responsible for compliance of the aforesaid order. 9. With above observation and direction, the present writ petition stands disposed of. 10. Pending interlocutory application, if any, stands disposed of.
