Also heard Mr. R. Talukdar, learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of all the respondents. 2. The petitioner is a registered contractor of Assam Police and the Deputy Inspector General of Police (MPC), Assam vide Registration Certificate No. S/III- RC/Gr-A/2019/476/279 dated 30.12.2019 registered the petitioner as a registered contractor of Assam Police for procurement of stores commonly required for official use and minor repairing/construction work of value less than Rs.5 lakh in Assam Police Headquarters. It is the case of the petitioner that from 04.01.2021 to 09.12.2022, the Superintendent of Police, Kamrup/respondent No. 4 placed orders for supply of miscellaneous, hardware and electrical articles to the office of the respondent No. 4. The petitioner, accordingly, supplied the demanded miscellaneous, hardware and electrical articles amounting to Rs.8,55,891/-. However, as the outstanding dues has not been paid to the petitioner till date, the petitioner is before this Court by way of the present writ Page No.# 3/3 petition. 3. The respondent No. 4, i.e. Superintendent of Police, Kamrup has filed an affidavit and in Paragraph Nos. 3 & 5, the amount claimed by the petitioner is admitted. However, it is the case of the respondents that the proposal has already been sent to the Assam Police Headquarters for release of the dues and as and when sanction and ceiling is received, the payment/outstanding dues shall be cleared. 4. Perusal of the statements made in Paragraph Nos. 3 & 5 of the affidavit filed by the respondent No. 4, would clearly indicate that the amount claimed by the petitioner is admitted. Accordingly, the concerned respondents are directed to pay the outstanding admitted dues amounting to Rs.8,55,891/- to the petitioner within a period of 4 (four) months from the date of receipt of a certified true copy of this order. 5.
