The petitioner had made an application requesting for granting of land which had been leased to his father in Sy.No.228/1 of Kandavara Village, Kundapura Taluk, Udupi District, measuring 5 acres 94 cents for cultivation of cashewnut. 2. It is the case of the petitioner that his father who was serving in the Army had been leased the aforesaid land for a period of 30 years and since the petitioner was also working in the Army and was likely to be discharged on medical grounds, he sought for grant of said land that had been leased to his father. - 3 - NC: 2025:KHC:16401 WP No. 8069 of 2025 3. In my view, since the petitioner is being discharged from Army on medical grounds and has therefore requested that the aforesaid land may be leased to him by way of grant, it would be appropriate to direct the Deputy Commissioner – 2nd respondent herein to consider the request of the petitioner in accordance with law within a period of four months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 4.
