K L N SWAMY Counsel for the Respondent(S): 1. GP FOR MUNCIPAL ADMN URBAN DEV 3 HCGR,J W.P.No.15498 of 2025 The Court made the following Order: Petitioners are working as Village Organization Assistants (VOAs) of Vcelugu Gummuluru Women Mutually Aided Co-operative Thrift and Credit Society Limited, Gummuluru. They filed present writ petition assailing the action of respondent Nos.5 and 6 in pressurizing to resign from the aforesaid posts. Petitioners have been appointed by the society by way of respective resolutions and their tenure is stated to be still in force. Therefore, respondent Nos.5 and 6 cannot restrain them from discharging duties. 2. Heard Sri K.L.N.Swamy, learned counsel for the petitioners, learned Assistant Government Pleader for Municipal Administration and Urban Development for respondent Nos.1 and 3 and Sri M.Hari Babu, learned Standing Counsel for Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas for respondent Nos.2, 4 to 6. 3. Learned Standing Counsel has placed on record written instructions, inter alia, stating that petitioners continued to work as VOAs and that respondent Nos.5 and 6 have never objected them to discharge their duties. Learned counsel also submits that neither appointment nor removal is at the helm of affairs of respondent Nos.5 and 6, it is only for the society to decided the same and inasmuch as, petitioners have been appointed by way of proper resolution for a particular tenure, which is subsisting, the allegation 4 HCGR,J W.P.No.15498 of 2025 that respondent Nos.5 and 6 are obstructing petitioners in discharging duties is misplaced. 4. In view of aforesaid written instructions and submissions, as the respondents, in particular respondent Nos.5 and 6, are not stated to be interfering with petitioners discharging of duties, the grievance of petitioners in the writ petition stands redressed. Therefore, the Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous petitions, pending if any, shall stand closed. ______________________________________ JUSTICE CHALLA GUNARANJAN Date: 07.07.2025 KBN
