Mr. Kajal Ray Mr. Suman Nandi …for the petitioner This application under Article 227 of the Constitution of India is at the instance of the respondent in Title Appeal no. 176 of 2003, which has been renumbered as Title Appeal No. 9 of 2014, praying for a direction upon the learned Civil Judge (Sr. Division), Serampore to dispose of the title appeal expeditiously. In view of the order sought and proposed to be passed, there is no necessity to direct issuance of any notice upon the opposite parties. However, the learned advocate-on-record of the petitioner shall be obliged to forward a copy of this application along with this order, upon the opposite parties or upon the learned advocate representing the opposite parties before the learned first appellate court. From the order-sheets appended to this application it appears that June 5, 2025 has been fixed for hearing of the title appeal. Since the appeal is pending from the year 2003, the learned Civil Judge (Sr. Division), Serampore is requested to dispose of the title appeal as expeditiously as possible but preferably by the end of the month December, 2025, without granting any unnecessary adjournment to either of the parties.
