The prayer in this writ petition is to issue a writ of mandamus directing the revenue authorities, more particularly, respondent No.6-Tahsildar, Bangalore South Taluk, and respondent No.5-Deputy Commissioner, to remove the entry standing in the name of respondent No.2-KIADB and respondent No.4-Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprises Limited from the Revenue Records. 2. Learned Senior Counsel Sri V.S.Naik, appearing for respondent No.4 submits that the prayer cannot be granted, having regard to the fact that the acquisition proceedings were initiated at the hands of the respondent- State Government for the benefit of respondent No.4 and Nandi Economic Corridor Enterprises limited, of large extent of lands including Sy.No.22/1 of Kommaghatta Village, Kengeri Hobli, Bangalore South Taluk. - 4 - HC-KAR NC: 2025:KHC:18080 WP No. 10220 of 2024 3. The petitioners being residential site owners, have nothing to do with the revenue entries. Moreover, it is submitted that if a revenue entry is wrongly recorded, the aggrieved person is required to approach the competent authority under the provisions of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act and a writ petition in this regard cannot be maintained. 4. Accepting the contention of the learned Senior Counsel, the writ petition stands dismissed while reserving liberty to the petitioners to approach the competent authority under the provisions of the Karnataka Land Revenue Act.
