The Court made the following: 2 W.P.No.16193 of 2017 The Court made the following Order: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India to issue an appropriate writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the analysis (test) report No.27/MBP/16-17, dated 24.02.2017 communicated by the respondent No.4 and the consequential show cause notices No.PP(3)290/2017 and PP/459/2017, dated 20.03.2017 and 24.03.2017 issued by the respondents No.2 and 3 respectively as arbitrary, illegal, defeated by lack of power or authority, contrary to the provisions of the Insecticides Act, 1968. 2. Due to passage of time, since the relief has become infructuous, the learned counsel for the petitioners requested to pass appropriate order. 3. In the present case, as the petitioners challenged the test report as well as the consequential show cause notices in respect of product which is now not available, no purpose would be served by hearing the matter on merits. 4. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed as infructuous. There shall be no order as to costs.
