Sharma, learned Addl. P.P. for the State respondent. 2. Apprehending arrest in connection with any case lodged with the Barpeta Police Station, this application under Section 482 of the BNSS, is preferred by applicant namely, Shahidul Hoque for grant of pre-arrest bail. 3. Mr. Ali, learned counsel for the applicant submits that the present Page No.# 2/2 applicant is facing trial in the case of Barpeta P.S. Case No. 1715/2020, under Section 22(b) of the NDPS Act and he has been regularly appearing before the learned trial court. Mr. Ali further submits that he is being searched and harassed by police regularly and asked him to appear at the police station and therefore, he apprehends that he may be arrested in connection with any other cases pending at Barpeta Police Station. Therefore, Mr. Ali has contended to allow this petition. 4. On the other hand, Mr. Sharma, learned Addl. P.P. by producing a report received from the Officer In-Charge of Barpeta P.S. submits that no case is pending against the present applicant at Barpeta Police Station. 5. Perused the report. 6. It appears that no case is pending against the present applicant at Barpeta Police Station and as such, there is no apprehension of arrest and consequently, this application becomes infructuous and accordingly, the same stands closed. 7.
