By the present writ petition, the petitioner, who is a retired Assistant Jail Superintendent, Bijapur has preferred the present writ petition seeking direction towards the respondents for special Bastar allowance to the petitioner for a period of 27.10.2016 to 30.09.2019, as per the circular of the State government dated 27.07.2013. 2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has worked in the Bastar division of the State government during the period 27.10.2016 to 30.09.2019, therefore, the petitioner is entitled for special Bastar allowance as per the circular of State government dated 27.07.2013. He further submits that the petitioner has also submitted representations before the respondents No. 2 & 3 on 03.08.2019, 20.10.2019 and 06.12.2024. He submits that the representations has also been forwarded by the Under Secretary of the Department of Jail to the Director General of Police of Jail (respondent No. 2) on 20.12.2024, however till date the representation and the claim of the petitioner has not been considered and decided. 3 3. Learned State counsel submits that as the application has been forwarded to respondent No. 2, the said claim of the petitioner will be considered and decided within a stipulated period of 50 days. 4. In view of the submission made by the respondents/ State, respondent No. 2 is directed to decide the claim of the petitioner regarding grant of special Bastar allowance, in accordance with law, within a period of 50 days from today. 5.
