KAKUMANU JOJI AMRUTHA RAJU Counsel for the Respondent/complainant: 1.PUBLIC PROSECUTOR The Court made the following: ORDE This CrI-mjnal PetI|tI-On, under Sect['ons 480 and 483 of the Bharatl'ya Nagarik suraksha sanhita, 2023, has been fI|Ied by the \:-==J E555EZEEEEl 2 petitioner/A4 seeking bail in Crime No.04/2025 of Hukumpeta Police Station, ASR District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner'and others for the offences under Sections 111(2) of B.N.S and Sec.8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that on 10.01.2025 at about ll.30am, on credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the S.I of Police, along with staff and mediators, rushed to Konthili junction, Hukumpeta Mandal and found two persons in suspicious circumstances. On observing police, said two persons tried to escape. Then police apprehended them and on enquiry, they disclosed their identity particulars and police found 160 kgs of ganja in their possession. The contraband, along with other material, was seized under the cover of mediators report and the accused were arrested and remanded to`judiciaI-custody on 10.01.2025 and since then they are in \| judicial custody. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major part of the invest®lgation is completed except filing of charge sheet. €- -l c---4 *_---- 3 ` , 6. The petitioner was arrested on 10.01.2025 and since then he'is languishing in jail i.e. for more than 174 days as on today. Even after lapse of 174 days of registration of crime, police have not concluded investigation and not filed charge sheet. In vI'eW Of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this court is I-nCIined to grant bail to the Petitioner herein, with the following conditI-OnS. (i) The petitioner/A4 herein shall be released on hI-S executing a Personal bond for Rs.10,000/- (Rupees ten thousand only) with two sureties for the like sum each to the satisfaction of the learned I Additional DistrI'Ct and Sessions Judge, VI'SakhaPatnam; (ill) On release, the petitioner shall appear before the station House Officer concerned once in a week I'.e.
