Hemchandra, learned sr. counsel assisted by Mr. Juno Rahman, learned counsel for the respondent no. 1 and Mr. BR Sharma, learned counsel for the respondent no. 2. [2] The present contempt petition is filed for not complying the direction of this Court order dated 13.05.2024 in W.P. (C) No. 229 of 2021 & W.P. (C) No. 65 of 2021, whereby, the respondents were directed to consider the promotion of the petitioner to the Senior Accounts Assistant, w.e.f. 26.06.2009 and not from the date 10.02.2016 as mentioned in the order dated 10.02.2016. [3] During the course of hearing, the learned counsel for the respondent no. 2 produces a copy of the order dated 25.03.2025, whereby, the petitioner is promoted to the post of Sr. Accounts Assistant notionally w.e.f. 26.06.2009 and submits that he was compliance to the direction of this Court order dated 13.05.2024 in the aforesaid writ petitions. [4] It is submitted that the cause of contempt petition does not survive.
