Mr. Choudhury, learned counsel having receipt of the order dated 12.09.2024, passed by the Chief General Manager (HRD), Oil India Limited whereby his prayer for ad-hoc promotion has been rejected, submits that he may be allowed to withdraw the present writ petition with a liberty to challenge the order dated 12.09.2024. Mr. K. Kalita, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Mr. A. Sarma, learned standing counsel for the Oil India Limited is present for all the respondents. Having considered the prayer made in this writ petition for a direction to adopt seal cover procedure for consideration of the petitioner during the pendency of the Criminal Trial and seeking ad-hoc promotion which the respondents have already undertaken and by way of review of the seal cover procedure in respect Page No.# 3/3 of the petitioner, the prayer for the ad-hoc promotion having been rejected, I am of the view that there is no surviving cause to be adjudicated.
