(Oral) Present petition has been preferred under Section 528 of the Bhartiya Nagrik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short ‘BNSS’) seeking directions to respondent No. 2 to further direct respondent No. 4 not to harass the petitioners on the basis of frivolous applications of respondent No. 6 and decide the representation dated 20.06.2024 (Annexure P-1) moved before respondent No. 2, seeking police protection. Learned State counsel at the very outset submits that initially the veracity of the allegations made by respondent No. 6 were thoroughly examined by Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police, Zone-II, Ludhiana and there is a report dated 19.09.2024 in this regard and it was concluded that dispute between the parties is purely civil in nature and the complaint made by respondent No. 6 was ordered to be consigned to the record. Further, the petitioners are not required in any manner and no such inquiry is pending against the petitioners.
