SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5998 of 2025 Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 437 and 439 of Cr.P.C., has been filed by the petitioners/Al to A3, seeking regular bail, in Crime No. 174 of 2024 of Kothakota Police Station, Anakapalli District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioners and another for the offences punishable under Sections 20(b)(ii)(C), 25 r/w 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985 (for short 'the NDPS ActO and 25 of the Arms Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that on 09.12.2024 at about 09.00 hours, upon receiving credible information, the SI of Police, Kothakota, along with his staff accompanied by a Gazetted Officer and two mediators, proceeded near to Gatreddi thrashing floor, on the road of Kalyanapulova Village to Dondapudi Forest Check Post and apprehended A1 to A3 who are in possession of 110 KGs of Ganja. A1 to A3 were arrested and contraband was seized under the cover of mediators report. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and learned Special Assistant Public Prosecutor. 4. A perusal of material on record goes to show that, police seized 110 Kgs of Ganja transporting the same in a vehicle from the possession of petitioners in the presence of two mediators 5. \ O' 2 and under the cover of a mediatornama. It is submitted by the learned Special Assistant Public Prosecutor that there are number of cases pending against the petitioners herein not only in this State but also in other States and that the investigation is going on.
