ORDER (Order of the Court was made by G.K.ILANTHIRAIYAN, J.) This Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondents to produce the detenu, namely, Ramanathan, son of Ponmayan, aged about 42 years, before this Court. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents. 3.The petitioner is the wife of the detenu, Ramanathan. H.C.P(MD)No.1320 of 2025 the second respondent on 07.07.2025, which was registered in Crime No.117 of 2025 under 'man missing'. 4.On enquiry, the second respondent found that the detenu had borrowed a huge amount from various persons and had gone to North India to escape from the loan lenders. 5.Even on perusal of the complaint lodged by the petitioner, it is revealed that her jewels were pledged by her husband, and she is very much concerned about retrieving them. That apart, the detenu is a major and appears to have gone to North India to escape from the clutches of law. 6.In view of the above, the second respondent is directed to complete the investigation in Crime No.117 of 2025 and file a final report in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3/5 https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis
