ORDER: The Criminal Petition has been filed under Section 483(1) -'of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for brevity [the BNSS'), seeking to modify the order dated 10.12.2024 in CrI.M.P.No.2852 of 2024 in Cr,No.222 of 2O24 passed by the learned Metropolitan Sessions Judge-Gum-I Additional DI'StriCt & Sessions Judge-Special Judge for Trial.of Offences under NDPS Act, Visaffh¥patnam.

2. Heard learned ,counsel for the petitioners and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor. Perused the record.

Sri Pulapalli Balaji, learned counsel for the petitioners, submits that the learned I Additional District & Sessions Judge- Special` Judge for Trial of Offences under NDPS Act, Visakhapatnam, while considering the request for enlarging the petitioners on bail in CrI.M.P. No. 2852 of 2024 in Cr. No. 222 of 2024 of Narsipatnam Town, passed art order dated 10.12.2024 in Crl.M.P. No. 2852 of 2024, enlarging the petitioners on bail on executing a self-bond of Rs. 50,000/-each with two sureties for a like sum each, to the satisfaction of the` learned Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate; Narsipatnam. He further submits that the petitioners have been languish'lng in jail for the past 241 days, the alleged contraband involved in the case is only 14 kgs, and the surety amounts are beyond their financial capabilities, and urged the Court to release them.
4. Taking into consideration, the nature of the case and allegations leveled against the petitioner, this Court is inclined'to reduce the amounts of bond for Rs.20,000/-with two sureties.
