HONJBLE SRI JUSTICE KI SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5975 of 2025 Order: The Criminal Petition has been filed by the petitioner/A-2, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.48 of 2024 of Pedabayalu Police Station, AIluri Sitharama Raju Districtl 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences punishable under sections 111(2)(b) of B|N.S and Sections 20(b)(ii)(C) r/w 25, 8(c) of the Narcotic ,Drugs and Psychotropl'c Substances Act, 1985. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 21.10.2024 at 10.00 hours, SI of Police, Pedabayalu Police Station, along with his staff and mediators, went to seethagunta Junction on a private J-eeP and caught A3 and A4 who are in possessI'On Of 150 Kgs of ganja transporting the same in a Mahindra Jeep. The accused persons were arrested and contraband was seized under the cover of mediators report- 4, Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner was shown as Accused NoI2 basing on the confessional statement of cO-accused, and he has been languishing in jail since 02.06.2025. 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that maJ'Or POrtiOn of the investigation has been completed. 6. Heard. Perused the record, I------`-_- J I 7. Basing on the confessional statement of co-accused, a case has been registered against the petitioner herein and the petitioner herein was not apprehended at the scene of offence. The petitioner was arrested and sent to judicial remand on o2.06.2O25 and since then he is in jail. The quantity of contraband alJeged]y seized from the possession of A3 and A4 is 150 KGs, since it is reported by the learned Assistant Public Prosecutor that major portion of investigation has been completed except filing of formal charge sheet, this court is inclined to release the petitioner on bail. 8. Accordingly, the criminal petition is allowed. The petitioner/ Accused N6.2 sha" be released on bail on executing a personal bond for Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties for the like sum to the satisfaction of the learned Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Paderu.
