A case has been regl'stered agaI'nSt the petitioners for the offence under sections 20(b)(ij)(c) read wl-th 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and PsychotropI'C Substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 28.3.2025 in between " pm and 3.20 pm, on receipt of cred['ble I-nformatl'on regard['ng I-IIega[ possession and transporta{jon of ganja, the s.I of police, GRP, along with staff and medI-atOrS, COnduCted search a{ platform no.1 of Visakhapa{nam Railway Sta{jon and found two persons I'n Suspicious Circumstances. On seeing police, they tr['ed to escape. Then polI®Ce apprehended said two persons and on enquiry, they disclosed theI'r jdentl'ty part]'culars as that of Al and A2 and police found 28 kgs of ganja in the]'r possession. They confessed that they purchased the same from A3. Poll-ce seI'Zed the contraband, arrested the accused and got them remanded to judl-cjaI Custody On 28.3.2025. 4. Heard learned counsel for the petl't[-oners and learned AssI'S{ant PubII'C prosecutor representI-ng respondent-State. perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material available on record goes to show that the contraband allegedly sel-zed I-S 28 kgs of ganjs and the petitioners/Al and A2 are in judI'Cial Custody SI'nCe 28.3.2025 i.e. for more than three months. Learned Assistant publI-C Prosecutor submI-tted that major portion of investigation is completed except filing of charge sheet. 7. In view of the aforesaI-d facts and Circumstances Of the Case, this court is inclined to grant ba" to the petitioners herein, on the following conditions.
