the Registrar, Manipur University to consider the objection dated 25.08.2025 submitted by the petitioner to the inter-se-seniority list of Professors of Manipur University as on 01.05.2023 and to finalize the inter-se-seniority only after considering the objection raised by the petitioner. [3]
Mr. BP Sahu, learned Sr. counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that as the prayer on behalf of the petitioner is confined to consideration of the objection raised against the tentative inter-se-seniority list of Professors of Manipur University as on 01.05.2023, he has no objection in disposing of the present writ petition as prayed for by the learned Sr. counsel appearing for the petitioner. [4]
Considering the submission made by the learned counsel appearing for the parties and on perusal of the record, this Court is of the considered view that it will be in the interest of justice to dispose of the present writ petition by issuing the following directions:- (1) The Registrar, Manipur University is hereby directed to consider the objection dated

25.08.2025 submitted by the petitioner against the tentative inter-se-seniority list of Professors of Manipur University as on 01.05.2023 as early as possible preferably within a period of 2 months from today.
(2) It is made clear that without considering and issuing appropriate orders in connection with the said objection submitted by the petitioner, the tentative inter-se-seniority list of the Professors of Manipur University should not be finalized, if not already finalized. [5]
With the aforesaid directions, the present writ petition is disposed of and there will be no order as to costs. JUDGE Lucy
