THE HON’BLE SRI JUSTICE K. SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5965 of 2025 Order: This Criminal Petition, under Sections 480 and 483 of B.N.S.S., has been filed by the petitioners/A1 and A2, seeking regular bail, in Crime No.202 of 2024 of Ramabhadrapuram Police Station, Vizianagaram District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioners herein and others for the offences punishable under Sections 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. 3. Case of the prosecution is that, on 12.12.2024 at about 09.00 hours, at Kottakki Village junction, NH-26 road, Ramabhadrapuram Mandal, A1 to A3 were found in possession of 810 Kgs of ganja transporting the same in a lorry bearing No.MP096 HH 7961, Bolero Van bearing No.AP39 0D 9663 and AP 39 TS 7678. The accused persons were arrested and remanded to judicial custody. The contraband was seized under the cover of mediators report. 4. Heard. Perused the record. 2 5. The quantity of contraband allegedly seized from the possession of the petitioners herein is 810 Kgs of Ganja, which is a commercial quantity. Learned Special Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that the investigation is still pending. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances of the case, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners. 6. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is dismissed. As a sequel thereto, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Criminal Petition, shall stand closed. _____________________ K.
