PUBLIC PROSECUTOR J 2 The Court made the following Order: Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner challenging the order dated 21.04.2025 passed in Crl.M.P.No.212 of 2025 by the learned IV Additional Sessions Judge, Kakinada, whereby the learned Judge directed the petitioner to deposit 1/5'^ of the compensation amount or before 31.05.2025, on the ground that Section 148 of Negotiable Instruments Act gives discretionary power to the Court to impose a minimum of 20% of deposit of compensation amount and seeks further time to comply with the said order. The order passed by the learned Sessions Judge, while suspending the sentence in C.C.No.1095 of 2021, granted only one month time and directed the petitioner to deposit within a period of one month. The same is contrary to the provisions of law under Negotiable Instruments Act. Considering the submissions made, time granted earlier is extended till 20.08.2025 to comply with the order dated 21.04.2025 passed by learned IV Additional Sessions Judge, Kakinada, in Crl.M.P.No.212 of 2025.
