Notice. Mr. Nitin Thakur, learned Standing Counsel, appears and waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents.

With the consent of learned counsel for the parties, the matter is heard at this stage.

This writ petition has been filed for the grant of following substantive relief:-
“I. That an appropriate, order or direction may kindly be issued, thereby, directing the respondents to count the services of the petitioners rendered prior to their regularization for the purpose of seniority and other service benefits. In view of the judgment passed by this Hon’ble Court, vide judgment dated 07.09.2021 in

CWPOA No.4442/2019, titled as Yashwant Dev Bhardwaj & Ors. Vs. Himachal Pradesh University & Ors. (Annexure P-2).”

Learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that the respective cases of the petitioners and the relief prayed for by them are squarely covered in terms of the decisions rendered in Yashwant Dev Bhardwaj and others Versus Himachal Pradesh University and others2.
Learned counsel also submits that the representations dated 20.06.2025 (Annexure P-5) preferred by the petitioners for claiming the above relief are pending
consideration with respondent No.1/competent authority.
Learned counsel further submits that the petitioners would be satisfied in case respondent No.1/competent authority is
directed to decide the aforesaid representations within a fixed time schedule. Learned counsel appearing for the respondents is not averse to this prayer.

Having regard to the afore-submissions, but without examining the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.1/ competent authority to consider and decide the aforesaid representations of the petitioners dated 20.06.2025 (Annexure P-5) in accordance with law as well as taking

into consideration the above judgment in the case of Yashwant Dev Bhardwaj2 within a period of six weeks from today. The decision so arrived at shall also be communicated to the petitioners.
The writ petition stands disposed of in the above terms, so also the pending miscellaneous application(s), if any.
