Sl.No. 351 Court No. 35 G.S.Das 18.09.2025 WPA 9058 of 2025 Abdul Salam Mondal -Vs- The State of West Bengal & Ors. Mr. S. K. H. Reza … for the Petitioner(s) Mr. Sirsanya Bandopadhyay, Sr St. Counsel Mr. Debopriyo Karan … for the State-respondent(s) Ms. Manali Biswas Mr. Mrinal Saha … for the respondent nos.5&6 The petitioner – being a senior citizen, complained regarding his son and daughter-in-law inflicting torture upon him. The said information was furnished to the police authorities, but, no steps have been taken. On the other hand, learned advocate for the private respondents submits that a title suit has been preferred by the petitioner himself. State has submitted a report which reflects that, at the relevant point of time, a proceeding was drawn up under Section 126 of the BNSS. Be that as it may, since the petitioner is a senior citizen as also the fact that there is a family feud existing between the petitioner and his daughter-in- law, I direct that if any information is furnished before the police authorities that the present petitioner has been subjected to any physical torture, then, in that case, the police authorities would ensure that the same is prevented. The police authorities would also keep a strict vigil and ensure that there is no breach of any peace and tranquility. With the aforesaid observations, WPA 9058 of 2025 is disposed of. Pending application(s), if any, is also disposed of. Report so submitted be kept with the record. Parties to act on a server copy of this order duly collected from the official website of the Hon’ble High Court, Calcutta. (Tirthankar Ghosh, J.)
