A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offences under sections 20(b)(j[')(C), 25 read with 8(c) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropjc substances Act. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that, on 10.4,2024 at about o4.00am, on receipt of credible information regarding illegal possession and transportation of ganja, the s.I of Police, along wl'th staff and mediators rushed to NeIIimetta Junction and started conducting vehicle checking. At that time, police observed four persons coming in an auto and one person on motorcycle. On seeing police, the inmates in the auto and the rider of the motorcycle stopped theI-r respective Vehicles and trI-ed tO escape. Then police apprehended four persons while the others escaped. on interrogation, they disclosed their identity partI'Culars as that of Al to A4 and police seized 267 kgs of ganja from their possession. They confessed the involvement of A7 I'n transportation Of the ganja. Police seI'Zed the contraband, arrested the accused and got him remanded to judicial custody. Police arrested the petI-tiOner On 05.5.2025 and since then the petitl-oner is in judicial remand. 4. Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned Assistant Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondent-state. perused the record. 5. A perusal of the material available on record goes to show that the Petitioner Was arrested and remanded to judicI'al Custody On 05.5.2025. PoII'Ce On Credible information seized 267 kgs of ganja from the other accused. pursuant to the confessional statement of co-accused, the PetI'tiOner Was arrested. No incriminatI-ng material has been seized from the petitioner to connect the petitioner with the crime. Basing on the confessional statement of co-accused, the petitioner has been arrested and remanded to judicial custody. 7. In view of the aforesaI'd facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to grant baI'l tO the PetitI®Oner/A7 herein, on the following conditions.
