By means of this petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution, petitioner seeks a direction in the nature of writ of mandamus to the competent authority to consider the claim of the petitioner for promotion from the post of Chakbandi Lekhpal to Chakbandi Consolidator. The grievance of the petitioner is that juniors to the petitioner have been promoted and the petitioner's seniority has been ignored. It is submitted that in above regard petitioner has already represented the matter before the respondent No.- 1 on 13th January, 2025 but till date no decision has been taken in the matter. Learned Standing Counsel does not have any objection in the event respondent No.- 1 is directed to decide the representation of the petitioner in accordance with law. In view of the above, this petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondent No.-1 to look into and consider the representation dated 13th January, 2025 of the petitioner and dispose of the same strictly in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of production of certified copy of this order.
