SREENIVASA REDDY Criminal Petition No.5928 of 2025 Order: The Criminal Petition, under Sections 48O & 483 of Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023, has been filed by the petitioner/A-2, seeking regular bail, in Crime Nol197 of 2025 of Nallapadu Police Station, Guntur District. 2. A case has been registered against the petitioner and others for the offence punishable under Section 8(c) r/w 20(b)(ii)(C) of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotrop'IC Substances Act, 1985. 3. Case of the prosecution, in brief, is that on 17.02.2025 at ll.00 hours, the Inspector of Police, Nallapadu Police Station, on receiving credible information, conducted raid, along with mediators and staff, at Mother Therissa Colony, Cheruvu Katta, Reddypalem Village, Guntur Rural and where A.1 purchased 2 KGs of Ganja from A.3 and selling 50 grams small ganja pockets, and they transported 20 Kgs of ganja from Thuni to Guntur. On 17.2.2025 at about ll.00 hours, AIL and A.2 were arrested and 23.055 KGs of ganja`was seized from their possession under the cover of mediators report. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the quantity of ganja allegedly seized from the possession of accused is 23.055 Kg. T-~- t\\\ E 2 ~| and the petitioner was remanded to judicial custody on 17.02.2025 and since then he is languishing jail. 5. Learned Assistant Public Prosecutor submits that major portion of the investigation has been completed except filing of charge sheet. 6. Heard. Perused the record. 7. The petitioner was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 17.02.2025 and since then he is languishing in jail. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, this court is inclined to release the petitioner on bail. 8. Accordingly, the Criminal Petition is allowed. The petitioner/ Accused No.2 shall be released on bail on executing a personal bond for Rs.10,OOO/-(Rupees Ten Thousand only) with two sureties for the like sum to the satisfaction of the learned I Additional District & Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge for trial of Offences under the NDPS Act, Guntur.
