Sr. Government Advocate, Assam. The matter pertains to a claim for payment of ex-gratia regarding the accidental death of the husband of the petitioner by drowning. Ms. Hazarika, learned Standing Counsel has, however informed that as per instructions received, the amount in question has already been paid. She has, in fact placed before this Court a copy of the order dated 19.06.2025 issued by the Department to the District Commissioner, Udalguri District regarding the aforesaid payment. On perusal of the said communication dated 19.06.2025, this Court is of the opinion that there is no existing cause of action which would require any further adjudication.
